Sri Mulyaniwhen receiving the world's best minister awards in goverment summit 2018

LongliveIndonesia – Many doubts expressed by some Indonesian people that the Indonesian economy is slumped, this is answered by the achievements that are now carved by one of the ministers of the work cabinet in Jokowi – JK government, namely Sri Mulyani as Minister of Finance. The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, was awarded the Best Minister in the World Award at the World Government Summit held in Dubai, Arab Emirates. The award was handed over by Dubai’s leader Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
“This Best Ministerial Award is a global award given to one minister from every country in the world each year and commenced in 2016. The selection and determination process of the winners is conducted by independent agency Ernst & Young and organized by the World Government Summit,” writes official received detikFinance, Sunday (2/11/2018).

Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia in his speech expressed his appreciation to be the first recipient from Asia to receive the award. He said that the award is an acknowledgment of the collective work of the government under the leadership of President Joko Widodo, especially in the economic field. The Minister of Finance also dedicated the award to 257 million Indonesians and 78,164 Ministry of Finance officials who have worked hard to manage the state’s finances with integrity and high commitment to create equitable and equal citizens’ welfare.

Various policy reform efforts have been launched in the Ministry of Finance, aimed at fostering fiscal policy towards inclusive and sustainable development. The reform of bureaucracy in the Ministry of Finance has also produced many results.

The World Government Summit is an annual meeting held in Dubai, UAE, and engages all government leaders from around the world in a global dialogue forum on governance and public policy processes and their links to technology, innovation, and other topics.

This forum serves as an exchange of experience and knowledge between government officials, policy makers, experts, and private sector leaders to see future trends and their implications for humanity. The World Government Summit was attended by more than 4000 participants and 90 speakers from 150 countries and international agencies.

Through the support of Dubai’s leader Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the World Government Summit was initiated by a group of experts from various fields in an effort to bring all government, business and civil society leaders into a common forum. The goal is to improve the lives of 7 billion people worldwide.
