For our recollection of what world class achievements Indonesia has achieved, we compiled the 2019 kaleidoscope from the beginning of the year to the present.

Achievement in January 2019

  • Starting in 2019 Indonesia once again became the world’s attention when one of the ministers of Indonesia’s returned to scent Indonesia through her brilliant achievements.   • Indonesia once again received world appreciation after one of Indonesia’s proud ministers managed to enter as one of the world’s thinkers. One international Foreign Policy newspaper recently released names in the GlobaL Top 100 Thinker. The list is divided into several classifications, in which Indonesian Maritime and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti is one of the world’s thinkers in the Defense and Security category along with nine other big names.
  • The proud news this time came from Indonesian cinema. Indonesia once again gained valuable assets for the future of national film after a couple days ago Indonesia’s young filmmaker, Andyah Cintya Laksita managed to get the prestigious world award, Premio Giovani in the 2018 Cortocircuito-Savigliano Film Festival which took place October 22-28 in the city of Savigliano, about 55 kilometers from Turin, Italy.
  • After a long time Indonesian football has been lacking in achievement, but hopes will always be there for Indonesian football to advance to the international level through talented young seeds, who continue to be honed and will later become the pride of the country. Like this talented young player, Firza Andhika (19) who is a U-19 national team who made it to the international league level in the Belgian League.

Achievement in February 2019:

  • There is nothing more proud than public recognition of the work we make.   • Indonesia again showed its existence in the prestigious international event. This time the proud news came from Mister Tourism 2018 which took place in Rome, Italy. Indonesia, represented by Eric Novianto, successfully won the 4th Runner Up and the Best National Costume award. In the selection of Mister Tourism World 2018 which took place in Rome, Italy, around 24 participants attended from various countries.
  • The world again put its admiration for the natural beauty of Indonesia. His admiration was manifested by one of the British travel guide sites, Rough Guides, which included Indonesia as one of the 20 most beautiful countries. Of these 20 countries, Indonesia is above 1 rank from England and below 1 rank from South Africa.
  • Who says Indonesian people are lazy? The stereotype was broken by Indonesian women who now work in Finland. The woman is Rose Alibasya Jokela. Achievement in March 2019

He is Rizky “The Wonder Boy” Faidan, who won 1st place PES Southeast Asia (SEA) Finals 2019. In the final match that took place at the Thailand E-Sports Arena, Rizky Faidan was able to beat Vietnam’s representative Jesus. In the decisive match, Rizky Faidan dramatically won on penalties.

  • This artist and celebrity from Indonesia is constantly giving pride to her country. Through music and entertainment channels, Agnez Mo’s nickname from Agnes Monica Muljoto proves to the world that Indonesian musicians can compete with world musicians. Recently Agnez Mo once again received the prestigious Social Star music award at the iHeart Radio Music Awards event held at Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles on Thursday (3/14/2019) in the United States or Friday (3/15/2019) morning in Indonesia WIB.
  • Indonesian photography contributed achievements in the photography competition in the United Arab Emirates. The competition entitled “HOPE” named 2 Indonesian photographers namely Fanny Octavianus a photojournalist and photo editor at ANTARA National News Agency (LKBN), while another photographer, Muhammad Fahrur Rasyid, a freelance photographer from Makassar. Fanny was selected as the first winner, and Fahrur was in second place.
  • Indonesian cinema is now again awarded at an international event. This culinary-themed film that once won one of the nominations at the 2018 Indonesian film festival managed to attract world film lovers at the Osaka Asia Film Festival event in the category of The Most Entertaining Film Among All Participating New Films. Achievement in April 2019

  • The proud news comes from the world of athletics in the 2019 1st Malaysia Open Grand Prix competition at Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Saturday (03/30/2019). Lalu Muhammad Zohri, the U20 athletic world champion, once again made an achievement by bringing home gold with a time of 10.20 seconds. Achievement in May 2019

  • Indonesia again showed its superiority in the world technology competition, this time in the competition for the 3rd ASEAN MATE Underwater Robot Competition which took place on 4-5 May 2019 in Surabaya. Indonesia, represented by University of Indonesia (UI) students who are members of the UI Autonomous Marine Vehicle Team (AMV UI) won first place at ASEAN level for its innovation in making Robot Makara 08 Mark II, an underwater robot that can be used to identify victims of sinking ships.
  • Indonesia once again received valuable appreciation in international science competitions, this time coming from the 20th Asian Physics Olympiad or APhO in Adelaide, Australia. In the event held on May 5-13 2019, they won a silver medal, two bronze medals, and four Honorable Mentions. This year’s APhO is organized by Australia Science Innovations which is part of Australia National University.
  • Another achievement was achieved by Indonesia in the international competition, this time coming from the 2019 Asian Junior Cheerleading Championship (AJCC) competition in Takasaki City, Japan, Sunday (12/5). Indonesia, represented by the Milky Way Cheerleading team in the Junior 1 (7-12 yrs) and Sixers teams in the Junior 2 (12-18 yrs) category, each successfully took home a silver medal and a bronze medal. The team is the result of selection from the Indonesian Cheerleading Federation (FCSI) ATLET.
  • The General Election Commission (KPU) has determined through national recapitulation of the results of the elections held simultaneously on April 17, that the majority of the Indonesian people still want to be led by Joko Widodo. The announcement of the results of the recapitulation was submitted by the KPU in the plenary meeting at the KPU building, Jakarta, Tuesday (05/21/2019) early morning. “The number of valid votes for the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair number 02 Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno was 68,650,239 votes,” said KPU Commissioner Evi Novida Ginting  Manik was reported by detik.com.

  • Indonesia performed brilliantly in the Point Blank World Challenge E-sport event (PBWC) and the Point Blank International Women’s Championship (PBIWC) for 2019 which was held in Moscow, Russia. Indonesia, represented by the RRQ TCN team for the PBWC, succeeded in making sure to become the Point Blank world champion after defeating the Attack All Around team from Thailand in the 2-1 Grand Final in the Best of 3 format. Meanwhile, in the PBIWC Indonesia represented by EVOS Galaxy Sades successfully won the runner-up title. Unfortunately, they must fall in the grand final of the Thai team, TokioStriker Lady, with a score of 0-2.

Achievement in June 2019

  • The proud news now comes from the international youth weightlifting championships held in Sufa, Republic of Fiji Islands. Indonesia, represented by a young male lifter, Muhammad Faathir managed to bring home a silver medal and also set a world record with the Clean and Jerk results of 149 kg. Already in the 61kg male class, a teenager born in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, on May 21, 2003, in the first batch Clean and Jerk performed a perfect force weighing 144 kg.   • One of Indonesia’s online media, Kumparan, won an award at the 2019 Asian Digital Media Awards in Hong Kong. Kumparan won the 2019 Digital News Startup category from the World of Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) which was held on Wednesday (30/10). Kumparan CEO, Hugo Diba, said this award will trigger Kumparan to continue to innovate and have a positive impact on the people of Indonesia. “This award will be a reference for us to continue to work hard, in innovating, presenting content and having a positive impact on many parties,” Hugo said.
