After Indonesia’s proud of Claudia Emmanuella’s victory at The Voice of Germany, another talented young singer at the same I-Sing World 2019 event, Maria Sinaga. The event, which was held in Stockholm, Sweden, on 10-13 November became a stage of its own proof for Maria to come out as champions and carry the name of Indonesia. At the age of 14 years, Maria Sinaga managed to look stunning when she performed the song ‘World Bunch’ which was popularized by Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL). The girl from Bekasi was chosen to become Indonesia’s representative for the junior category after winning the Asian Dreamerz, an Asian level competition in June 2019.
When performing at the event, Maria Sinaga was wearing traditional clothing from Kalimantan. Successfully won the title, apparently Maria Sinaga will participate in training at the South Korean entertainment agency. Besides Maria, there is still one more national child who competed in the event. She is Namie (9) from Surabaya, East Java, who won third place. Maria and Namie managed to eliminate participants from other countries, including Belgium, India and New Zealand.
Indonesian Ambassador to Sweden, Bagas Hapsoro in his statement expressed pride in the achievements of Indonesia’s best daughters. It is hoped that Maria and Namie will continue to improve their achievements and make the name of the Indonesian nation on the international scene.
From the 2019 I-Sing World Junior competition, aside from earning cash, trophies, medals, and certificates, Maria also had the opportunity to attend training in Seoul, South Korea and join an entertainment company in Seoul. This is of course a remarkable achievement for Maria. But more than that, Maria is very proud because the country of Indonesia became No. 1 in this event.
I-Sing World is a world-class singing competition held annually by I-Sing Academy. In 2019, I-Sing was participated in by 26 countries divided into adult and junior categories, with the organizers of I-Sing Academy in collaboration with O’Larys, Stockholm, Sweden.
This junior competition was first introduced in 2019, with the age category of children between 6-16 years. I-Sing world is planned to be held in 2020 in Malaysia.
