Recently the government through the Ministry of Tourism received an international award, the Ministry led by Arief Yahya won two awards at the 2019 World Travel Lifestyle Expo (WTLE) at the SMX Convention Center, Manila, Philippines.
The two awards were Best Booth Award and Best Performance. The award was presented directly by the Organizing Comitte WTLE 2019 to the Regional III Deputy Marketing Director of Kemenpar Muh. Ricky Fauziyani. WTLE 2019 itself takes place on 5-7 April 2019.
“Thank God, this makes us more confident, more credible. This award is a hard work of all the teams involved and of course the direction of the Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya,” Ricky said.

At the exhibition, both Wonderful Indonesia appeared so impressive. All concepts are mature. This made the Wonderful Indonesia booth stand out prominently at the exhibition with the iconic Phinisi Ship and Instagramable Gate.
This award also made Wonderful Indonesia increasingly confident to penetrate the Philippine market. Moreover, the Philippines has a large number of tourist outbound reaching 8,194,600 tourists.
“So very strategic. Wonderful Indonesia gained recognition as a strong brand. This further facilitated our steps to penetrate the market. It also opened the eyes of the world to the superiority of Indonesian tourism,” said Ricky.
The same thing was also expressed by the Head of the Sulawesi & Philippine Area Marketing Ministry of Tourism Ni Putu Gayatri. She said WTLE 2019 was the right moment to attract Filipino tourists. And with this award it further strengthens the Philippine market penetration.
“Moreover, we also display various cultural arts attractions there. This further strengthens our positioning in the Philippine market. This award also proves that brand Wonderful Indonesia has been closely embedded in the Philippines,” said Gayatri.
Rizki Handayani, Deputy for Marketing Development I Kemenpar, also raised her voice. She is increasingly confident to boost the number of visits of Southeast Asian tourists such as the Philippines.
“Wondeful Indonesia is increasingly recognized even from our competing tourism countries. This is our chance to continue to go deeper. So the target of the visit of 20 million foreign tourists in 2019 will be achieved,” he said
For the Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya, the award proves that the Wonderful Indonesia brand is extraordinary. According to him, if all is planned, then we can ensure victory.
